The giant panda photography exhibition "The World of Pandas" opens with great fanfare in Paris
On September 24, 2024, the Grand Palais art gallery in Paris hosted the photography exhibition "Le Monde des Pandas". This stage of the Panda Wandering cultural exchange event was marked by a lively and festive opening ceremony.
Many political, business and artistic figures from China and France were present. Brigitte Macron, First Lady of France, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion. Guests included Mr. Pubu Dunzhu, Vice Governor of Sichuan, and Mr. Lu Shaye, Chinese Ambassador to France.
The event also featured Ninon Vernay, a young French woman with cystic fibrosis, who shared her moving experience of meeting pandas in Chengdu. Photographer Zhou Mengqi captivated the audience with anecdotes about pandas and his photography work.
Visitors viewed many panda photographs and participated in panda-themed cultural activities, deepening their understanding of Chinese culture. The exhibition, marking the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations, will continue its global tour to promote Sichuan culture.
