The Juneteenth Foundation Returns with 4th Annual Juneteenth Honors Festival in Washington, DC
WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / June 13, 2024 / The Juneteenth Foundation will host its 4th annual Juneteenth Honors Festival. This event aims to highlight contributions from Black Americans in various professional fields. It promises an intimate celebration with stakeholders and musical performances.
This year’s festival, headlined by Musiq Soulchild and featuring Maysa and the Howard Gospel Choir, will honor several notable figures, including Dr. Clarence B Jones, a former attorney and speechwriter to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Foundation also partners with educational institutions and corporate sponsors like General Motors and Santander Bank. This year, they will award over $100,000 in scholarships to 20 deserving HBCU students.
The event is scheduled for June 14, 2024, at the Eaton Hotel in Washington, DC. The program will be recorded and televised on Fuse TV on June 19, 2024, celebrating the federally recognized Juneteenth holiday.
