The Michaels Organization Announces Leadership Change

CAMDEN, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / June 18, 2024 / The Michaels Organization, a national leader in residential real estate, announced that Chief Executive Officer John J. O'Donnell has taken a leave of absence. Mark Morgan, who has been with Michaels for over 35 years, will step in as CEO effective immediately. Joe Purcell will continue as Chief Financial Officer.

O'Donnell's leave is to address allegations from a recent indictment by the New Jersey State Attorney General. The company's operations in development, property management, construction, and investment remain unaffected.

Mark Morgan stated, "John O'Donnell has been a trusted colleague and industry leader for more than 30 years, and has our organization's full support during this difficult time." The organization continues its mission to create housing solutions that promote education, civic engagement, and neighborhood prosperity.

The indictment is specific to two properties along the Camden Waterfront and does not implicate The Michaels Organization as a whole. The executive leadership team, including Mick Flanagan, Kimberlee Schreiber, Joe Coyle, Erik Roberson, Matt Sullivan, and Joseph DiSalvo, will continue to manage day-to-day operations.
