Thyssenkrupp Nucera Achieves Robust Growth Amidst Challenges
Thyssenkrupp Nucera AG & Co. KGaA has reported significant growth in its third quarter results for the financial year 2023/2024, despite market challenges. The electrolysis specialist saw a 12% increase in order intake to EUR 271.3 million, driven mainly by their alkaline water electrolysis (AWE) segment.
Sales hit a record high of EUR 235.7 million, up 26% from the previous year, largely due to ongoing chlor-alkali (CA) and AWE project implementations. Sales of green hydrogen solutions saw a 20% increase, reflecting the work on large-scale projects in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, and the H2 Green Steel project.
Despite the growth, EBIT dropped to EUR 0.7 million from EUR 7.0 million, impacted by higher research and development costs. thyssenkrupp nucera's net income after taxes stood at EUR 5.8 million, nearly matching the previous year's figure.
Thyssenkrupp nucera confirmed its forecast for the 2023/2024 financial year, expecting sales between EUR 820 million and EUR 900 million. The company continues to focus on leveraging the high growth potential in the green hydrogen market.
