Thyssenkrupp Nucera Sees Growth in Sales and Earnings in Q2

Thyssenkrupp Nucera AG & Co. KGaA reported significant improvements in sales and profits for the second quarter of the 2024/2025 fiscal year. The company, specializing in electrolysis technologies, achieved a 31% year-on-year increase in sales, reaching EUR 216 million. Both the green hydrogen and chlor-alkali segments contributed to this growth, with notable projects in Sweden and Saudi Arabia driving a 23% increase in sales to EUR 120 million in the hydrogen segment.

The firm also saw a rise of 42% in the chlor-alkali segment, amounting to EUR 97 million. The order intake, however, showed mixed results with the chlor-alkali business recording a growth spurt, while the green hydrogen segment faced market challenges, resulting in a decline to EUR 4 million from the prior year's EUR 12 million.

Earnings before interest and taxes improved significantly, reaching EUR –4 million from EUR –14 million in the previous year, attributed to heightened sales and disciplined cost management. The forecast for the fiscal year suggests continued growth, expecting sales between EUR 850 million and EUR 950 million.
