TINC Invests in Landmark Battery Storage System in the Netherlands

TINC, an infrastructure investor on Euronext Brussels, announced a strategic €61 million investment in Project Mufasa, a leading battery energy storage system (BESS) in the EU. Located at North Sea Port Vlissingen, this project aims to reinforce the Netherlands' renewable energy framework.
The partnership involves TINC, Lion Storage, Macquarie, and Return investors. Set to be operational by H1 2027, Project Mufasa replaces a former coal-fired plant and offers 1,400 MWh capacity. This capacity can power over 200,000 households, marking it among Europe's top energy storage projects.
Project Mufasa, valued at €350 million, is the largest in the Netherlands financed through non-recourse project funding. Partnering with Eneco, this initiative alleviates congestion and enhances grid stability while supporting Dutch renewable energy goals.
