Too Good To Go Partners with Whole Foods Market to Combat Food Waste in Canada

Too Good To Go, the company behind the largest global marketplace for surplus food, has expanded its collaboration with Whole Foods Market to include all Canadian locations. Beginning in 2025, Canadian consumers can access Surprise Bags of surplus food from Whole Foods, including prepared meals and baked goods, via the Too Good To Go app.

This initiative comes at a crucial time, as Canadian families face an expected increase in grocery expenses by CAD$801.56 this year. With up to 1 in 3 Canadians planning to purchase surplus food, the collaboration offers an opportunity to reduce food waste and grocery bills. Surprise Bags are available in areas like Toronto, Vancouver, and Ottawa, offering significant savings on high-value food items.

The partnership follows a successful rollout in the U.S., where more than 650,000 meals were saved, equating to over US$11 million in savings.
