TotalEnergies: acquisition in Germany and partial sale in the United States

TotalEnergies announces a dual strategic transaction in the renewable energy sector. The company acquires VSB Group, a major project developer in Germany, for €1.57 billion. This transaction aims to strengthen TotalEnergies' position in onshore wind and to integrate more renewable capacities in Europe.

In parallel, TotalEnergies reached an agreement with Apollo to sell 50% of a portfolio of solar and battery storage projects in the United States, bringing in $800 million. The company retains an equal stake and will continue to operate the assets in Texas.

These moves are part of TotalEnergies' capital reallocation strategy. The acquisition of VSB and the partial sale in the United States illustrate the company's desire to optimize the profitability of its Electricity sector.
