TotalEnergies and Oil India Collaborate on Methane Emissions Detection
TotalEnergies and Oil India Limited (OIL) have signed a cooperation agreement to utilize TotalEnergies' AUSEA technology for detecting and measuring methane emissions at OIL sites in India. This partnership aligns with OIL's commitment to the Oil and Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC), a global initiative targeting net-zero operations by 2050 and minimal methane emissions by 2030.
AUSEA, developed by TotalEnergies, employs a dual-sensor mounted on drones, offering advanced detection capabilities across various industrial environments. This collaboration supports OGDC's goals and highlights TotalEnergies’ leadership in methane management technology.
Dr. Ranjit Rath of OIL emphasized the significance of this partnership in advancing India's emission reduction efforts, expressing satisfaction with collaborating alongside an industry pioneer.
