TRATON Sells 78,960 Vehicles in Q2 2024

Munich, July 10, 2024 – TRATON GROUP reported a total of 78,960 vehicles delivered in the second quarter of 2024, a 5% decline compared to the same period last year. This brings the total unit sales for the first half of 2024 to 160,108 vehicles, down 5% year-on-year.

Scania and Volkswagen Truck & Bus saw increases in unit sales, driven by strong market conditions in South America. Scania also benefited from a robust order book and the efficiency of its Scania Super powertrain.

MAN Truck & Bus experienced a decline in sales due to weak market conditions in Germany, partially offset by increased bus and van deliveries.

Navistar faced disruptions due to a fire at a supplier’s plant, impacting its truck deliveries. However, these issues are expected to be resolved in the second half of the year. Bus sales at Navistar also decreased year-on-year, although the new school bus model is starting to gain traction.

TRATON GROUP plans to release its 2024 Half-Year Financial Report on July 26, 2024, which will include more detailed information on unit sales and financial performance.
