Travis Manion Foundation Announces the 17th Annual 9/11 Heroes Run Race Series Sponsored by USAA
DOYLESTOWN, PA / ACCESSWIRE / June 17, 2024 / Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) will return to communities around the country for the 17th Annual 9/11 Heroes Run 5K Race Series. This event honors those lost on September 11th, 2001, and in the wars following. The race series takes place each September and unites the nation to remember nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, as well as to honor veterans, military personnel, and first responders.
The event has expanded to more than 90 communities nationwide, with thousands participating in both in-person and virtual events. Ryan Manion, CEO of TMF, emphasized the importance of educating future generations about the sacrifices made by those who served. For the third year, USAA will be the National Title Sponsor of the series.
The 9/11 Heroes Run was inspired by Marine 1stLt Travis Manion, who was killed in Iraq in 2007. USAA VP Larry Williams highlighted the event's role in fostering community resilience. Registration is now open at www.travismanion.org/heroesrun.
