Triton Announces Acquisition of the V&N Group Including Visser & Smit Hanab, VW Telecom, and Homij

Funds advised by Triton have reached an agreement to purchase 100% of VolkerWessels Verbindingen en Netwerken B.V., known as the V&N Group, announced on April 5, 2024. This group, a subsidiary of Koninklijke VolkerWessels B.V., oversees companies Visser & Smit Hanab B.V., VW Telecom B.V., and Homij Technische Installaties B.V., focusing on the energy, telecom, and technical installation sectors. The completion of this transaction is anticipated in the third quarter of 2024, pending approvals from the central works council of VolkerWessels and customary regulatory clearances.

The V&N Group, recognized for its leadership in multi-utility service provision with a dedication to sustainability and digital advancements, operates primarily in the Netherlands and Germany. With a workforce of 3,100, it offers comprehensive solutions encompassing feasibility studies, design, implementation, and maintenance in its domains of expertise. VolkerWessels initiated the divestiture of this cluster following a strategic assessment aimed at concentrating on its core business segments.

Triton, with a substantial investment history in Europe including companies such as OCU Group and EQOS, is acquiring the V&N Group with an optimistic outlook on its potential for growth and the intention to bolster its longstanding client relationships. Koos van de Linde of Triton expressed admiration for the V&N Group's contributions under VolkerWessels' ownership, particularly in accelerating the Netherlands' transition to renewable energy and digital technology. Stanley Maas, CEO of V&N Group, also echoed a positive sentiment regarding the forthcoming collaboration with Triton.
