TRU Precious Metals Appoints Steve Nicol as New CEO

TRU Precious Metals Corp. has announced the appointment of Steve Nicol as the new CEO, effective August 7, 2024. Nicol, a seasoned mining engineer with more than 35 years of industry experience, is also a director on the TRU board. One of his initial responsibilities will be managing the exploration program at the Golden Rose Project in Newfoundland, in partnership with Eldorado Gold Corporation.

Nicol brings substantial expertise in operations management, mine evaluation, and development from various roles, including Managing Director of the Barruecopardo Tungsten mine in Spain. His diverse experience spans base, precious, and specialty metals, both in open pit and underground mining.

Joel Freudman, who founded TRU in its current form in late 2020, has resigned as CEO but will continue to support the company through Resurgent Capital Corp. TRU's Chairman, Manish Z. Kshatriya, expressed confidence in Nicol's capability to lead the company towards significant value creation.

Kshatriya highlighted Freudman's contributions, particularly in acquiring and consolidating the Golden Rose Project and attracting strategic investments.
