Turnover for the 1st quarter of 2024: a mixed balance sheet for Ekinops
EKINOPS, a major player in telecommunications solutions, recorded a turnover of 28.3 million euros for the first quarter of the 2024 financial year, marking a decrease of 11% compared to the corresponding period in 2023. This This decrease is explained by strong growth of 15% the previous year which constituted a high basis for comparison.
Sales of Access solutions increased 3%, showing improvement after three consecutive quarters of decline. Notably, sales in France jumped 19% following a decline of 18% in 2023. However, international sales of these solutions continue to decline, with a decrease of 13% in Europe and the Middle East. Optical Transport solutions also suffered a decline of 27%, mainly due to a slowdown in investments in telecom infrastructure and large stocks already available from operators.
On the other hand, Ekinops has acquired Infovista's "5View" software suite, which improves Ekinops' SD-WAN offering and is expected to increase the company's revenues in the software and services sector. This acquisition is the result of a strategy aimed at accelerating Ekinops' expansion and innovation in the field of network services.
Revenue in France for this quarter increased significantly, while international activities encountered difficulties, with a particular decline in North America and EMEA.
