Ubisoft Appoints Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot as Co-CEOs
On July 16, 2025, Ubisoft announced the appointment of Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot as co-CEOs of its new subsidiary, created to develop the iconic Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, and Far Cry franchises. This strategic move aims to accelerate growth and build sustainable brand ecosystems.
Christophe Derennes, with over 35 years of experience at Ubisoft, has already demonstrated his expertise in operational and production management. He served as General Manager for North America and contributed to the success of the Montreal studio.
Charlie Guillemot, with a career focused on innovation, brings a valuable entrepreneurial perspective. His background in game development and experience with Web3 technologies enrich the subsidiary's executive leadership.
Supported by investments, notably from Tencent, this new structure aims to offer development teams more autonomy to maximize the economic potential of franchises.
