Ucore Receives USD 18.4 Million from U.S. Department of Defense
Ucore Rare Metals, a Canadian company, has secured USD 18.4 million from the U.S. Department of Defense. This funding will propel the commercialization of Ucore's RapidSX technology, aimed at separating rare earth elements. The initiative includes expanding existing collaborations with the Department of Defense and constructing a commercial-scale production module in the United States.
The project's scope involves transferring systems engineering technology from a Canadian demonstration plant to a new U.S. facility in Louisiana. Previously, Ucore received USD 4 million as part of a demonstration project, and this additional funding marks a significant boost for further development.
