USA Defeats France in the 2024 Paris Games Polo Challenge

The USA Polo Team triumphed over France in the Paris Games Polo Challenge 2024, presented by U.S. Polo Assn. The match, held on August 7, ended with a score of 10-7 in favor of the USA, marking a centennial victory coinciding with their 1924 win in Paris.

The game, a partnership event involving the Federation of International Polo (FIP) and the French Federation of Polo (FFP), will be broadcast on ESPN2 on August 11. The USA team, led by Coach Julio Arellano, featured standout player Nico Escobar, who scored nine goals and earned the MVP title.

Over 2,000 fans, including Olympic Committee members and celebrities, attended the match. The victory was commemorated with gold medals featuring the event’s logo. The competition also spotlighted Hope Arellano, the only U.S. women's 10-goal handicap player.

Historical significance added to the spectacle, as this event celebrated 100 years since France last hosted the Olympics in 1924. Despite their best efforts, France could not secure redemption, ending the game with seven goals.
