Uzbekistan Airways and Thai Airways Choose SES Open Orbits™ for Inflight Connectivity
SES announced that Uzbekistan Airways and Thai Airways plan to equip their fleets with SES Open Orbits™, a multi-orbit Ka-band platform providing seamless global inflight connectivity. This integration promises internet speeds up to 300 Mbps across various airframes.
Uzbekistan Airways will introduce this connectivity on its A321neo aircraft starting in 2026, enhancing passenger experience on long-haul routes. Thai Airways, the first Southeast Asian airline to adopt this network, will include the service on its B787 aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2026.
Andrew Ruszkowski of SES expressed excitement for the global embrace of their consistent and scalable service. Neo Space Group will support these services, with availability via Airbus and Boeing frameworks.
