Vallourec confirms obtaining authorizations for the extension of the Phase 1 mine in Brazil
Meudon (France), July 2, 2024 – Vallourec, world leader in premium tubular solutions, announces that it has received authorizations from the State environmental authority (COPAM) and the federal mining regulator (ANM) to launch the first phase of expansion of its Pau Branco mine, located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This project will extend the operating life of the mine, improve the quality of reserves and increase its profitability.
Capital investment will begin as planned, with Phase 1 expansion launching in late 2024. Phase 2 is expected to be completed in 2027, subject to obtaining the necessary permits. Vallourec emphasizes that these projects will improve the Group's financial performance while emphasizing safety and environmental responsibility.
