Valora introduces dual labeling Nutri-Score and Eco-Score

Muttenz - Valora Holding AG becomes the first Swiss retailer to introduce the Nutri-Score and Eco-Score labels on its private label products. From June, more than 1,100 k kiosk and Press & Books points of sale will offer these labels on ok.– and READY TO GO items.

This initiative aims to offer clear information on the health and sustainability of products, thereby facilitating informed purchasing decisions. Roger Vogt, CEO Retail of Valora, emphasizes that this double labeling improves transparency for customers.

Maja Rüegg, Co-Head Sustainability Management at Valora, says the adoption of these labels responds to a growing demand for environmental information on products.

The Eco-Score, developed by Beelong, notably assesses CO2 emissions and water consumption. The Nutri-Score is a nutritional label widely used in Europe.
