Valworx Partners with UC Berkeley's STAR Team for Rocket Engineering Competition
Valworx, Inc., a prominent supplier of actuated valves and controls, has announced a partnership with the Space Technology and Rocketry (STAR) team from UC Berkeley. This collaboration focuses on providing control valves for a liquid fueled rocket engine that the STAR team is developing. This engine marks the third liquid engine initiative by the STAR team and will be featured in the upcoming ESRA Spaceport America Cup.
The partnership aims to integrate significant enhancements to the rocket’s design, primarily through the inclusion of advanced control valves. These improvements are intended to help the rocket achieve its targeted apogee with greater precision. Kurt Naas, President of Valworx, expressed enthusiasm about supporting future aerospace leaders through this initiative. Similarly, Justin Gonzalez, Media Lead of STAR, highlighted the excitement within the team regarding the ongoing development of their liquid vehicles with support from Valworx.
