Veolia and SIRC: Strategic Partnership for Waste Treatment
Veolia and the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a collaboration in the waste treatment sector in Saudi Arabia. This partnership is part of the Vision 2030 program initiated by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The objective is to create a major regional player by combining their skills to manage household, industrial and hazardous waste.
Veolia, which has been established in Saudi Arabia for over 35 years, is thus intensifying its local commitment. The group expects to increase its turnover by 50% by 2030 thanks to its technologies and expertise. In 2023, it recorded a turnover of 280 million euros in this market. The partnership with SIRC aims to improve existing capacities and promote green energy, in line with Veolia's GreenUp 24-27 plan.
