Veolia Shows Strong Growth in H1 2024 Results
Veolia reported robust growth for the first half of 2024, reflecting the strength of its value creation model and the positive impact of its GreenUp strategic program. The company saw a 4.4% increase in revenue, driven by a 6.9% rise in Booster activities and a 3.4% lift in Stronghold activities.
EBITDA rose by 5.7%, supported by operational efficiency and ahead-of-target synergies. Current net income surged by 15.2% to €731 million. The company's capital allocation policy remains dynamic, with over €1 billion in non-strategic asset divestments and several targeted acquisitions.
Revenue reached €22.141 billion, with a 6.4% growth in Water and Waste sectors. Energy sector revenues increased by 1.4%, despite lower energy prices. EBITDA stood at €3.266 billion, within the guidance range of 5-6% growth.
Veolia's net financial debt is well managed, with a leverage ratio expected below 3x by the end of 2024. The company has confirmed its objectives for 2024 and the GreenUp 2024-2027 program.
CEO Estelle Brachlianoff expressed confidence in maintaining positive trends and achieving all targets for the year, driven by commercial dynamism and operational excellence.
