Veolia's Sequoia 2024 Shareholding Plan Achieves Record Success

Veolia has announced the successful subscription of its Sequoia 2024 employee shareholding plan. The plan, offered to 179,000 employees in 54 countries, saw participation from nearly 80,000 employees. This marks a subscription rate of almost 45%, the highest in Veolia's history.

Sequoia 2024 continues Veolia's tradition of involving its employees in the company's growth, consistent with past initiatives since 2018. Approximately €356 million was invested, resulting in the issuance of 14,504,094 new shares, or 2% of the company's share capital. Consequently, employees now hold over 9% of Veolia's shares.

This initiative underscores the employees' commitment to Veolia's GreenUp 24-27 strategic plan. As of September 13, 2024, the total number of Veolia shares in circulation increased to 740,652,608.

CEO Estelle Brachlianoff stated, "The success of Sequoia 2024 showcases the trust and commitment our employees have towards Veolia's ambitions. Their participation enhances our capacity to tackle future challenges and drive ecological transformation across water, waste, and energy sectors."
