Veranda Club Veterans to Experience Dream Flights in Honor of Their Service

On April 26, at Boca Raton Airport, six veterans from Veranda Club Independent Living and Assisted Living will be recognized for their military service with a Dream Flights experience. These veterans will each enjoy a 20-minute flight in a Boeing Stearman biplane, an aircraft historically used for military training in the late 1930s and early 1940s.

The honored veterans are Sal Bazzano, Robert Cramer, Marvin Friedman, Herb Panzer, Karl Rettig, and Richard Zenna, each having served in various branches of the US military. Michael Halpner, Executive Director of Veranda Club, expressed pride and gratitude towards these individuals, emphasizing the importance of providing memorable experiences for the community's residents.

Dream Flights, a non-profit organization founded in 2011, aims to honor seniors and military veterans by offering them unique flight experiences. The event will also include opportunities for the veterans to share war memories and engage with family, friends, and crew members post-flight.
