VERBUND Acquires 110 MWp PV Project Portfolio in Italy
VERBUND AG has announced the acquisition of a 110 MWp PV project portfolio in Central Italy. The projects are located in Lazio and were purchased from KE-RENINVESTMENT S.A., the Spanish holding company of Turkish investor Kinesis Enerji.
The portfolio includes two projects at an advanced development stage. These projects share a substation and are collectively managed within a single project company. Their proximity to Greater Rome is strategic for geographical diversification.
The purchase price remains undisclosed. The transaction was finalized on July 30, 2024.
VERBUND's 2030 strategy targets significant growth in solar and wind power. This acquisition supports the goal of generating 25% of electricity from photovoltaic and onshore wind power by 2030, further solidifying VERBUND’s market presence in Italy.
