Vicinity Motor Corp. Secures Order for Clean Diesel Buses from Orangeville

Vicinity Motor Corp. (NASDAQ:VEV)(TSXV:VMC) has announced a new purchase order from the Town of Orangeville, Ontario. The order includes two 32-foot Clean-Diesel Vicinity™ Classic buses, set for delivery in 2025. These buses will serve the three active transit routes in this suburb of Toronto, home to approximately 30,000 residents.

Brent Phillips, President of Vicinity Motor Corp., highlighted the growing trust in Vicinity’s products across Canadian communities. He mentioned that over 1,000 Vicinity Classic buses are already in operation, contributing significantly to the company's revenue and market strategy. Phillips emphasized the lower upfront and operational costs of the Vicinity Classic as key factors for towns like Orangeville.

Phillips also noted that each order opens opportunities to discuss future fleet expansions or transitions to electric options, such as the Vicinity Lightning electric bus and VMC 1200 electric truck. The company looks forward to delivering the buses to Orangeville early next year.
