VinAI Introduces Breakthrough Drunk Driving Detection Technology in Europe

BARCELONA, SPAIN – At InCabin Europe 2024, VinAI will unveil DrunkSense, a pioneering system that passively detects drunk driving without a breathalyzer. This is its first introduction in Europe, boasting an accuracy rate of up to 85%, and aiming to transform modern traffic safety.

DrunkSense, designed for next-generation smart vehicles, employs a multi-sensor strategy. It combines facial expression tracking, vehicle control monitoring, and air alcohol sensors. The system’s sensitivity rate is 85%, which is 8% higher than the current industry standards.

Unlike traditional breathalyzers, DrunkSense operates continuously and requires no human interaction. It can issue timely warnings or interventions even if the driver's blood alcohol concentration is below the legal limit, enhancing safety.

Visitors to InCabin Europe 2024 can experience DrunkSense at booth #117. VinAI experts will present the technology on October 10th, focusing on multimodal sensing and advanced analytics to improve drunk driving detection.

VinAI will also showcase the InteriorSense product suite, an advanced system that monitors driver and occupant behavior to provide timely warnings. VinAI continues to solidify its position among the top 20 AI research companies worldwide, contributing smart mobility solutions across the automotive industry.
