VINCI Airports Reports Robust Traffic Growth in 2024

VINCI Airports has recorded strong performance for 2024, with passenger traffic exceeding pre-COVID levels. The company reported over 318 million passengers, marking a significant 3.7% increase compared to 2019 and an 8.5% growth from 2023. This resurgence was driven by significant traffic acceleration at airports in Asia, especially in Japan and Cambodia. The fourth quarter alone saw a 7.6% rise compared to the same period in 2023.
Several airports under VINCI's management achieved record traffic. Lisbon welcomed 35 million passengers, and Edinburgh saw 15 million, while Budapest and Santiago also reported significant increases. In Asia, Japan's Kansai airports experienced a traffic surge, exceeding pre-COVID numbers, largely due to enhanced routes with Southeast Asia.
Across Europe, Portugal and the UK airports benefited from increased airline capacity, with airports in Hungary and Cabo Verde showing notable growth. These figures highlight VINCI's successful recovery strategy post-pandemic and ongoing expansion efforts.
