VINCI strengthens its road activities in North America

VINCI Construction acquired Newport Construction in the United States and Entreprises Marchand & Frères (EMF) in Canada. These two companies, specializing in road works, represent a total turnover of more than 150 million euros.

Newport Construction, based in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, has a quarry and asphalt plant. In 2023, it achieved a turnover of 105 million euros with 240 employees. This acquisition strengthens VINCI’s presence in the northeastern United States.

In Canada, EMF operates in Quebec and James Bay. With three asphalt plants and nine quarries, it employs 220 people and generated 50 million euros in 2023. This consolidation allows VINCI to densify its network in Quebec.

These acquisitions highlight VINCI's growth potential in North America, where the company recorded sales of more than €4 billion in 2023.
