VINCI wins new contract for Melbourne Airport

Seymour Whyte, the Australian subsidiary of VINCI Construction, has been awarded a contract worth 159 million Australian dollars, or approximately 96 million euros, from Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) Pty Ltd. This project aims to improve access to Melbourne Airport.

The scope of the project includes the redevelopment of the airport platform forecourt as well as the construction of a 550-meter road viaduct with 18 spans. This work will separate individual and commercial automobile traffic, facilitating the connection between the Tullamarine Highway and the airport terminals. Pedestrian safety will also be strengthened.

The work, scheduled for completion in 2026, will meet environmental objectives, including the reuse of all excavated fill. This project is a continuation of a first phase of work carried out by Seymour Whyte in 2023.
