Vivendi increases its share buyback program
On September 9, 2024, Vivendi announced an extension of its share buyback program authorized by the Combined General Meeting of April 29, 2024. The maximum number of shares to be repurchased was increased from 25,407,259 to 35,146,514, or 3.41% of the current share capital.
Between April 30 and August 28, 2024, Vivendi repurchased 25,146,514 shares, representing 2.44% of the share capital, to reach a total of 38,106,631 shares held, or 3.70% of the share capital.
The program mainly targets the cancellation of shares, the coverage of performance share plans and employee shareholding transactions. The buybacks will take place between September 10 and 30, 2024, under the irrevocable mandate of an investment services provider.
