Vivendi is committed to the authenticity of digital content

Vivendi announces several initiatives to protect and promote the creations of its businesses. The objective is to guarantee the transparency and authenticity of digital content produced by humans or artificial intelligence.

The company is turning to Web 3.0 and blockchain technology to defend the interests of its intellectual property rights holders. Among the actions undertaken, Vivendi joins the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) and Havas joins the Content Authenticity Initiative.

Fabien Aufrechter, Director of Web 3.0 at Vivendi, highlights the importance of authenticating digital content in the face of the rise of generative artificial intelligence. Vivendi will also join the League for Web Security 3.0, where it will chair the commission on the protection of intellectual properties.

Finally, Vivendi is multiplying initiatives: Prisma Media uses blockchain to monetize content ethically, while Paris Match is launching a collection of 75 NFTs for its 75th anniversary.
