Vivendi: Split approved by 97.5% of shareholders
At the Combined General Meeting chaired by Yannick Bolloré, Vivendi received approval of more than 97.5% of its spin-off project. The latter concerns Canal+, Havas and Louis Hachette Group. Listings will begin on December 16 on the London Stock Exchange, Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Growth Paris respectively.
The decision was met by a quorum of 71.96% of shareholders. The extraordinary resolutions on the partial contribution of assets were adopted by similar majorities. The Havas shares will be distributed in kind to Vivendi shareholders. They had to purchase shares before December 13 to participate in the split.
Quotations will begin on December 16, with settlement expected on December 18.
