Vladimir Kush Presents His New Painting 'Big Apple'

On May 7, 2024, celebrated artist Vladimir Kush unveiled his latest work, an oil painting titled "Big Apple", measuring 73x30 inches. The event was held across two weekends at Kush Fine Art galleries in Laguna Beach and Las Vegas, drawing an audience of art collectors and enthusiasts. The presentation highlighted the rich allegorical content that characterizes Kush’s works.

The painting, set against a backdrop of New York City as viewed from Ellis Island includes symbolic layers relating the historical influx of immigrants to the metropolis. "Big Apple", a term famously associated with New York, is explored through the lens of its nickname’s heritage and the biblical story of Adam, Eve and the forbidden fruit. Kush’s narrative intertwines these elements with the immigrants' aspirations and trials upon reaching America.

Additionally, limited edition prints of "Big Apple" are available in two sizes. Kush, known for his metaphorical realist style, continues to blend historical and cultural narratives into his art, creating deep contextual frameworks for his viewers to explore. This new piece follows his tradition of thought-provoking and visually engaging compositions.
