Voestalpine AG: Earnings Forecast Adjusted Due to One-Off Effects and Economic Downturn
Voestalpine AG has announced that its results for the first half of the 2024/25 business year have fallen below market expectations. The company cites one-off effects amounting to approximately EUR 50 million due to strategic changes in its Buderus Edelstahl division as a primary cause. Consequently, the expected EBITDA is around EUR 720 million, and EBIT is about EUR 340 million for this period. Final results are scheduled for November 13, 2024.
The company also predicts an EBITDA of approximately EUR 1.4 billion for the full business year, influenced by economic downturns and reorganization costs in its Automotive Components unit in Germany. The sale of Buderus Edelstahl is part of a strategic shift, focusing the High Performance Metals Division on high-tech special materials.
