Voestalpine Reports Resilient Performance and Cash Flow in Q1 2025/26
Voestalpine AG navigated a challenging economic environment in Q1 2025/26. Revenue slightly decreased to EUR 3.9 billion, compared to EUR 4.1 billion in the previous year. Despite this, the company generated a strong free cash flow of EUR 188 million, driven by strategic working capital measures. EBITDA stood at EUR 361 million, and net financial debt was further reduced, reaching the lowest gearing ratio since 2006/07.
While the steel division saw high demand for international pipeline projects, consumer goods and mechanical engineering sectors showed stagnation. The company maintained its leadership in technology and innovation, focusing on rail infrastructure and storage systems.
Voestalpine continues its phased transformation towards green steel production and expects a stable EBITDA between EUR 1.4 to 1.55 billion for the full fiscal year 2025/26. Economic influences include the European infrastructure program and global trade shifts, impacting sector-specific future developments.
