Voestalpine Ends Business Year 2023/24 with Solid Results and Pioneering Projects
voestalpine AG concluded the business year 2023/24 with robust operating results, highlighted by an EBITDA of EUR 1.7 billion, down from EUR 2.5 billion the previous year. Revenue reached EUR 16.7 billion, the second highest in the company’s history. The firm's debt level hit an all-time low, and cash flow from operating activities increased significantly, reaching EUR 1.4 billion.
The company demonstrated strategic resilience, expanding its market share globally. Significant projects included the construction of greentec steel facilities in Linz and Donawitz and the opening of a special steel plant in Kapfenberg, Austria. The number of employees increased by 0.8% to 51,600.
Looking ahead to 2024/25, voestalpine forecasts an EBITDA between EUR 1.7 billion and EUR 1.8 billion, with a strategic focus on global expansion and reducing CO2 emissions.
