Volta Medical Collaborates with GE HealthCare to Enhance Arrhythmia Procedures
Volta Medical has entered into a Joint Development Agreement with GE HealthCare to address challenges in capturing and analyzing cardiac signals. This collaboration aims to improve atrial fibrillation (AFib) procedures using AI-driven electrophysiology technologies.
Marseille-based Volta Medical will integrate its AI solution, Volta AF-Xplorer™, with GE HealthCare’s Prucka™ 3 and CardioLab™ EP Recording system. This integration is expected to streamline workflows for electrophysiologists during catheter ablation procedures for AFib.
"Our mission is to optimize interoperability and advance clinical applications in electrophysiology," said Théophile Mohr-Durdez, CEO of Volta Medical. The collaboration will help physicians manage AFib by combining advanced recording capabilities with AI-driven information.
Volta Medical’s AI assists in the real-time assessment of electrograms, aligning with GE HealthCare's CardioLab™ system. By consolidating data, the companies aim to enhance decision-making in AFib treatments.
The agreement follows positive results from the TAILORED-AF trial and focuses on early commercialization efforts and the RESTART clinical trial, which evaluates AI-assisted ablation in recurrent-AFib patients.
