Waga Energy: Strong increase in turnover and improvement in EBITDA
Waga Energy recorded a significant increase in its turnover in the first half of 2024, reaching 25.6 million euros, an increase of 87% compared to the same period in 2023. This performance is driven by the start-up of five new WAGABOX® units, including a first in the United States.
The group produced 254 GWh of biomethane, avoiding the emission of 63,000 tonnes of CO2, and improved its EBITDA to -2.5 million euros compared to -3.1 million euros in 2023. Its cash position stands at 78 million euros, reinforced by a capital increase of 52 million and the raising of nearly 160 million euros of debt.
Waga Energy has a strong commercial pipeline of 13.6 TWh/year with 165 projects, and operates 28 production units. It is well placed to benefit from the growing demand for biomethane in Europe and the United States.
