Walmart and Break the Love Expand Partnership to Promote Community Sports Access
Walmart has announced an expansion of its successful partnership with Break the Love, increasing comped pickleball court reservations to 250,000. This move aims to meet the growing demand for pickleball, recognized as America's fastest-growing sport, and introduces golf, offering broadened access to sports for communities nationwide. The partnership, which has previously exceeded booking targets and won accolades for brand collaboration, stands as a significant commitment to democratize sports access and foster community engagement.
Alongside the expansion into golf, this collaboration introduces "Ultimate Park Days," a series of pop-up events in various cities designed to unite communities through sports. These events will feature sporting apparel, equipment trials, and health and nutrition supports. Moreover, Break the Love and Walmart will facilitate 50 creator-led sports meetups across the country, encouraging community participation in recreational sports activities.
The partnership also enhances the shopping experience, with a curated selection of pickleball gear available on Walmart's website, and plans to bring pickleball experiences to select stores. This collaboration underscores both organizations' commitment to enabling more people to engage in recreational sports, emphasizing the social and health benefits of community activities.
