Wedia: Sale of the Controlling Block to Cathay Capital
On July 23, 2024, the Wedia social and economic committee approved the plan to transfer control of Wedia SA Following the exercise of the promise to purchase on July 11, Wedia announces the definitive signing of the transfer agreements with Mercure SAS These agreements concern the transfer of a block representing 57.2% of the share capital, including in particular the shares held by Nextstage and Amplegest.
The transfer of ownership should be effective by the end of July 2024. Mercure plans to launch a simplified public tender offer in September 2024, offering 30.50 euros per share. A price supplement of 1.25 euros per share could be paid if 90% of the capital and voting rights are reached at the closing of the offer.
