West Mining Corp. Announces Exploration Program on Spanish Mountain West Property
West Mining Corp. has announced the start of its 2024 exploration program on the Spanish Mountain West Property in central British Columbia. The initiative aims to integrate multispectral satellite image analysis with existing geophysical and sampling surveys. This will help identify high potential targets for gold, copper, and silver for further investigation in the summer.
The multispectral analysis leverages data from the European Space Agency Sentinel 2 MultiSpectral Instrument, along with CBERS4A, LANDSAT, and ASTER imagery. These will create composite images that target potential mineral alteration. Identified targets will be further defined by high-resolution satellite image capture. These datasets will then be integrated with existing airborne magnetic and field sampling surveys for field follow-up.
According to a past survey, significant soil anomalies linked to gold mineralization have already been identified in the area. The Spanish Mountain West Property spans 1,062 hectares and is underlain by basalts and sedimentary strata from the Triassic period.
The Company also announced that Linda Dandy, P.Geo., has resigned as VP of Exploration to pursue other endeavors but will continue as a consultant. CEO Nader Vatanchi expresses optimism for the results of this project and the Junker project.
