Western Alaska Minerals Announces High-Grade Assays

Western Alaska Minerals (WAM) has reported promising results from its 2024 drilling program at the Warm Springs Target in its Illinois Creek project. The highlight of the drilling includes significant interceptions, such as 1.15 meters at 687 g/t Ag and 33.64% Pb, and 3.2 meters at 88.5 g/t Ag, 2.4% Pb, and 4.0% Zn. The area of alteration spans 720 meters north-south, indicating potential for a large-scale deposit.

The assays come from two out of nine drill holes. The mineralization resembles that found at the Illinois Creek Mine and the Waterpump Creek trend. Another positive note is the discovery of gold-copper mineralization, adding more value to the prospect.

WAM CEO Kit Marrs stated that the results validate their hypothesis of finding a large-scale CRD system. He described the findings as significant, noting the presence of high-grade mineralization.

The drilling program continues as the company expects to provide a detailed assessment after analyzing all data. Early results indicate that the Warm Springs discovery could transform into a substantial prospect, aligning with the company's exploration model.
