Western Alaska Minerals Intersects First Gold Intercept at Warm Springs

Western Alaska Minerals Corp. (WAM) has reported the first gold assay results from their initial drilling at the Warm Springs target on the Illinois Creek project in western Alaska. Drill hole IC24-0004 revealed gold zones with 1.29 g/t Au over 4.68 meters, including 12.5 g/t Au over 0.18 meters, and 2.13 g/t Au over 2.96 meters, including 5.57 g/t Au over 1.01 meters.

This marks the first significant copper and gold finds since exploration started in 2021 and unveils a new mineralized structure parallel to the Illinois Creek Fault. Located 1.4 km southeast of the Illinois Creek gold-silver resource, the discovery expands the potential of the eight-kilometer trend between Illinois Creek and Waterpump Creek.

Dr. Peter Megaw, a renowned geologist, emphasized that the appearance of gold and copper suggests a major pathway for mineralizing fluids. The Warm Springs intercepts represent significant extensions and reveal complex mineralization stages, indicating potential further connections to other mineralized zones.
