Wiz Launches Wiz Code to Secure the Entire Application Lifecycle

Cloud security leader Wiz announced the launch of Wiz Code, a new product designed to secure every stage of the application lifecycle. This transition marks Wiz's evolution into a multi-product company, with Wiz Code complementing the Wiz Cloud platform.

Following the acquisition of Raftt, Wiz developed an integrated solution for AppSec and DevOps teams within its Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). Wiz Code aims to bring security and development teams closer by identifying and fixing cloud risks directly in code before they become critical.

Wiz Code leverages deep cloud and runtime context to enable precise risk prioritization and suggests fixes to the right developers. This enhances security posture and promotes better collaboration, allowing organizations to deliver secure code faster and with greater confidence.

Philip Bues of IDC highlighted that comprehensive code to cloud security is crucial for CNAPP's promise. Yinon Costica, Co-Founder and VP Product of Wiz, emphasized that security should be embedded in every development step, a principle behind the acquisition of Raftt and the creation of Wiz Code.

Wiz Code integrates with developer environments, tracing cloud issues to their code sources and providing fix suggestions within developers' tools. This addresses critical issues in code and CI/CD pipelines, supporting developers throughout the development lifecycle.
