Yahsat Collaborates with Eutelsat Group to Expand Broadband Services in Africa and the Middle East

Paris, 22 May 2024 - Eutelsat Group and YahClick, a division of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company PJSC, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement allows YahClick to leverage capacity on Eutelsat's high throughput satellite, EUTELSAT KONNECT.

The partnership aims to enhance Yahsat's satellite network and drive growth in its satellite broadband footprint in Africa. Yahsat will gain exclusive rights to EUTELSAT KONNECT's capacity over Ethiopia, facilitating high-speed internet connectivity.

EUTELSAT KONNECT, operational since November 2020, provides 75 Gbps of capacity via 65 spotbeams, initially covering Europe and Africa. The satellite's entire capacity is being shifted to focus on dedicated African coverage.

The collaboration highlights the high demand for robust broadband services in the market, addressing both consumer and enterprise needs across multiple African and Middle East nations.
