Yamaha Launches MODX M Synthesizer Series
Yamaha Corporation has introduced the MODX M, a new midrange line of synthesizers aimed at modern music creators. Officially announced in Hamamatsu, Japan, the MODX M promises exceptional sound and expressive control in a portable design.
Building on the technology of the flagship MONTAGE M series, MODX M includes three sound engines: AN-X for analog warmth, FM-X for digital synthesis, and AWM2 for realistic instrument sounds. This makes it versatile for various musical styles.
The series includes three models: MODX M6 with a 61-key keyboard, MODX M7 with 76 keys, and MODX M8 featuring 88 keys and graded hammer action. Each model is priced to be more affordable, enhancing accessibility for musicians.
Additional features include intuitive performance controls, a unique Super Knob, and high-resolution interface control. A free Expanded Softsynth Plugin will be available early 2026 for registered users, enhancing integration with DAWs.
