Nebius Gains Approval for Large-Scale AI Factory in Missouri

Nebius has received the green light from the Independence City Council in Missouri to construct its first gigawatt-scale AI factory. This facility, with a potential capacity of up to 1.2 GW, marks Nebius's largest venture in the United States. The approved plan includes a Chapter 100 industrial development incentive, facilitating the project's progress.

Spanning approximately 400 acres, the campus will create around 1,200 skilled construction jobs and 130 permanent high-tech positions. Designed with sustainability in mind, it will feature a closed-loop cooling system and noise reduction technologies. The project aims to strengthen Nebius's US footprint and promises substantial community benefits over the next 20 years, including educational programs and financial contributions exceeding $650 million.
