Zalando Reports Solid Q3 Growth and Strategic Investments

Zalando SE announced robust growth in the third quarter of 2024, with gross merchandise volume climbing 7.8% to 3.5 billion euros and revenue increasing by 5.0% to 2.4 billion euros. Adjusted EBIT escalated from 23 to 93 million euros, yielding a margin of 3.9%. This growth was visible in both B2C, with a 4.3% revenue rise, and B2B, showing an 11.1% increase in revenue. Active customers expanded by half a million, reaching 50.3 million.

The company continued investing in customer loyalty, lifestyle propositions, and its logistics network. New brands and an evolved Plus loyalty program marked significant B2C advancements. Meanwhile, in B2B, Zalando broadened its logistics and service capabilities, adding ASOS as a sales channel. Despite an initial drop in B2B adjusted EBIT due to upfront investments, the strategy aims to support future growth.
